ABOUT SKATE TRIVIA VOL. ONE

Skate Trivia is a game that can be played anytime, anywhere. It was born out of a game played between skateboarders during road trips while driving to skate spots. Questions are organized in five different categories: Names & Nicknames, Footy Tape, Teams & Companies, Tricks of the Trade, and Wild Card. Difficulty ranges from common knowledge, kinda easy, sorta hard, a little harder, and almost impossible.

All questions have been vetted by a core group of skate industry veterans including Lance Mountain, Steve Caballero, Mark Whiteley, Jim Thiebaud, Aaron Meza, Ed Templeton, Bryce Kanights, and more.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Inspired by the movie Back to the Future, Gordon Eckler became obsessed with skateboarding at the age of nine. At 21, he graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in Graphic Design, but put his design career on hold and moved to California to eat, drink, and live skateboarding. He rode for several teams before eventually immersing himself in creative work. Skate Trivia had been in the works for over 20 years (!!) and in 2021, it finally launched. Gordon continues to pursue creative work in his design studio, Plaid Again, in Alameda, CA, where he also lives with his girlfriend, Mae and his son, Clyde. He continues to skate, often times with the help of some ibuprofen.
